奈良旅行中、午前の早い時間に空いている店を探していたところ、こちらのお店を見つけました。開店準備中だったようでしたので「予約はしていませんが、よろしいですか？」と確認すると良いとのことでしたので、入店しました。
雨が降り肌寒い日でしたが、傘を置く場所もなく、またコートを預かっていただけるわけでもなく、狭い店内で足元に荷物やコートを置き大変不便でした。店内を見ると壁にコート掛けがありましたが、きっとそちらは後から来る予約客のためにとってあるのかな？と思いました。
こちらが飛び込みの旅行客だからか、接客してくださった方がとにかく不機嫌そうで、途中で「何か怒ってますか？」と本気で聞きたくなるほどでした。これは今回の奈良旅行で唯一気分の悪くなる体験でしたので、とても残念です。
反対にシェフはとても気持ちの良い対応で、料理は全体的に塩味が強めですが、盛り付けも美しく、奈良でとれた野菜や果物を取り入れた料理で良かったです。コースの前後に席の前まで来てご挨拶をしてくださったのも良かったです。
今回は、飛び込みで入店し、身なりもカジュアルだったため、リストランテに相応しくない客と見なされいたのだと思いますが、そう判断したのであれば入店の時点で「満席です」と断っていただきたかったなぁと今でも思います。
