実は奈良ホテルのレストラン菊坂で夕食は和食を食べようかと思っていたところこの時期はビアレストランとして営業しているとのことでその代わりにならまち周辺でどこかないかと探したところ見つけたのがこのお店でしたが結果大正解でした。
お昼に奈良ホテルでアフタヌーンティーをたっぷりいただく予定だったので夕食は軽めにと大和野菜だけのフルコースでお願いしましたが、最初の新玉ねぎのお通しもノンアルコールビールや梅ジュースともぴったり合ってそのあと出された野菜の小鉢の盛り合わせは野菜だけでこんなことができるんだとどれもこれも驚きの連続でした。
そのあとの天ぷらもとても美味しく吉野葛を使った葛そうめんはそののど越しの良さももちろんですが豆乳と出汁で作られた漬け汁がとても美味しくて思わずこれだけ最後まで飲んでしまいました。
デザートとは別にお願いできる粟生(あわなり)はもともとは婿だましと言ってお正月にお餅を作ることができなかった時に安価な粟で代用品を作ったことが発祥とのご説明でその由来の面白さと素朴な美味しさから前日までの要予約ですが注文されることをおすすめします。
ボリュームの足りなそうな方はすき焼きやステーキなどお肉を使ったコースもありますので、野菜そのものの持つ美味しさとその可能性を存分に楽しめるこのお店は必ずまたご利用させていただきたいと思いました。
