近鉄奈良駅の近くにある『ピーワイハラールキッチン』にお邪魔しました。
インド料理店っぽい感じですが、アジア系の料理店のようです。
チキンオムライス(税込1,000円)をいただきました。
見た目は普通の日本でも食べられるようなオムライスです。
玉子を切って中を開けてみると、白っぽいご飯と細長く切られた大きめのチキンが見えます。
食べた瞬間、ガーリックや香辛料などの香りと味がしっかりします。
インド料理屋とかで出てくるチキンとよく似た味です。
エスニック風のオムライスとは少し違うような気もします。
お米はインドやタイで使われるようなお米ではなく、
日本のお米を使っているように思いました。
こういうオムライスもありかなと思います。
