Tomiomotomachi, Nara City Weekdays 11:00 AM I had heard rumors that Wa Asuka was delicious for a while. This is my first visit to have a slightly luxurious "mini kaiseki lunch" with my partner. Make reservations a few days in advance from Tabelog. I parked near the store and went inside. I was shown to a private room (all rooms seemed to be private). Food (there was no menu, so there may be some mistakes) [Hassun] Delicious and beautifully presented. Unique dishes using chestnuts and autumn bamboo shoots. There are fried ears of rice on top, and you can eat the bursting rice. [Rice bowl] Deep-fried sea bream and matsutake mushroom soup. [Zori] Stray bonito, sea urchin, and sword-spot squid. The bonito is matched with "garlic soy sauce", and the sea urchin and sword tip squid are matched with "squid cotton soy sauce". The bonito in particular had a strong flavor, was melty, and was perfect (*´ω`*) [Steamed food] Chawanmushi with pumped yuba and mushrooms. [Yakimono] Salt-grilled saury with sudachi. [Fried food] Conger eel and lotus root tempura. Serve with tempura soup or curry salt. I thought that fried white Tempura would be delicious, but it seems that's not the case. Conger eel is also delicious in tempura. [Meal] Rice in a clay pot, miso soup with red soup stock, plums, kelp, and chirimen. You can get second helpings of rice, and if you want to take it home, you can have it made into Onigiri (although we ate all of it...). You can also get roasted green tea. [Water sweets] Pumpkin ice cream and lotus root mochi. Switch to green tea. Pumpkin ice cream is rich. The lotus root mochi has a slight cinnamon scent and is chewy. My drinks are Chardonnay Sparkling (¥550) and Greens Free (¥550). It was delicious, but I wanted to pair it with sake (TT) It was so delicious♪ I want to come again.
