奈良大和路四寺巡礼の１日目は、「長谷寺」「室生寺」、そしてトップングで「大神神社」に行きました。
スマホの歩数計アプリは軽く２万歩を超え、しかもその一歩一歩が石段、木段の上り下りあり、西村京太郎ミステリーさながらの時刻表ナビアプリを無視した驚異の乗り換えスピード発揮で、橿原神宮前に取った宿に戻った時には、足がボーになってました。
特に「女人高野」とも言われ、高野山が女人の立入を禁止していた時代に、女人のための高野山として支持された「室生寺」は感激ものでした。
今から数十年前の学生時代。テレビで山形県出身の写真家・土門拳がこの寺を愛しカメラに撮りつづけたという放送を観て以来、いつか、きっと言ってみようと思っていたお寺。
その間、数十回と京都や奈良市には来ていたのに、足を延ばさなかったお寺。
山門をくぐって、ふと見上げる階段上の金堂とそれに被さる新緑は、数十年前の写真の一葉を思い出させてくれました。
そんな感動の一日の、私たちの世俗の者のご褒美は、やっぱりおいしいビールとお料理。
あまり繁華なお店がない橿原のまちで、街道沿いにブラブラ歩いて見つけたのが、「ワインバー」と銘打ったこちらのお店。
私は喉がカラカラで、ビールオンリーでしたが、肴に頼んだ料理はどれも秀逸。
姿は見えませんでしたがシェフのアイデアを生かした料理や、
女性スタッフの応対など、気持ちよくお酒が飲めるお店でした。
