R169（通称、天理街道）沿いにある昔ながらの大衆食堂です。
駐車場も横長でかなり広く、お昼どきにはガテン系御用達のめし屋となり活気があります。
白地に黒で「白川食堂」の看板が趣があってなかなかいいですね。
店内も昭和そのまんまの雰囲気を残す、貴重なお店。
元気なおばちゃんたちで切り盛りされてます。
作り置きのおかず皿やおでんがありますので、こういう食堂は白飯と汁物、もしくはうどんを注文するのがよろしいかと。
「めし（中）」180円と「豚汁」100円を注文。
さらに作り置きの「コロッケ」100円と「目玉焼き」200円のおかず皿を取りました。
おかず皿は電子レンジで温めてくれました。
白飯は（中）でも、丼ぶりサイズの茶碗にがっつり盛られてます。
具沢山の豚汁が100円というのも、奈良の食堂の中でも恐らく最安です。
会計は580円。
