古町の繁華街の一角にある港すしは、もともと屋台から始まったすし屋である。現在は格式高い外観の店が迎えてくれる。
街のにぎやかさとは違い、扉を入ると違った空間となる。
自分の歩き方からしゃべり方まで、しっかりしなければという
気にさせられる。
しかし、店に入るとそうでは無いことが分かる。
味は絶品なのはいうまでも無いことだけど、
すし職人さんがウィットに富んでいることに気が付くだろう。
カウンターに座れば、手際の良い仕事を間近で見られ、
あまり堅苦しくない雰囲気でリラックスしてすしを頼める。
夜に行くと、若い職人さんたちもいて、しっかりと世代があって、
ずっと続いていくすしやなのだなという感じを受けた。
カウンターに座ったら是非、職人さんと会話を楽しんで欲しい。
