March 2021 A long-established Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) chain in Niigata. Open for lunch. I guess the store's name comes from Horibe Yasubei (Shibata clan) of Chushingura. At noon on weekdays, the store is not that crowded. You can sit at a table of your choice, so I'll let you sit at a table by yourself. This time I asked for the daily set meal. [Daily set meal (mixed fries) 850 yen] Served in less than 10 minutes. There are three types of food: fried horse mackerel, fried Oyster, and kushikatsu. The menu said Sangen pork, but it was a kushikatsu. Hmm, more than half of it is onions. I think the fried horse mackerel and fried Oyster are also worth the price. However, I was much more impressed than the "soba set" I received last time. By the way, the rice is Koshihikari rice from Niigata Prefecture. I think I'll use it again from time to time.
