2nd round of unvisited store development in 2018. When I visited ``Yamada-ya'' in Furumachi, it was on the way and I had always been interested in this store. The Furumachi store seems to have almost private rooms, so I went to the Ekimae store, which has 10 counter seats. Around 7:30pm on weekdays. When you step inside, the lighting is dim and the atmosphere is calm. The counter seats are sunken kotatsu style, with 5 seats for 2 people (the arrangement of cushions. There was quite a bit of space, so if you squeeze in, you'll probably be able to seat about 10 people.), and 4 seats on the opposite side of the counter. There were 3 small tables. There also seems to be a private room in the back. Please note that you must take off your shoes before going to the counter. On this day, there were zero customers at either the counter or the counter. Now, let's take a quick look at the menu. There are only about 10 types of sake on the menu. There are no limited-time drinks, only standard sake that you would find at other Izakaya (Japanese-style bar). The cheapest one was 240 yen by the glass, but the others are from 350 yen by the glass, so it would be better to drink this at Yamada-ya (in terms of price and type). So, I gave up on sake and chose Guinness Nama. <Ordered items> *Separate delivery fee (350 yen) required.・Guinness black raw 750 yen ・ Fried Skewers assorted vegetables 600 yen ・5 types of selection 980 yen I've been interested in Guinness raw, Fried Skewers and nigiri for a while. Guinness is about the same size as Souzu's smart pint. So, the price is about the same. After all, raw Guinness is delicious no matter where you drink it.Although they don't have single Fried Skewers, they do have assorted platters, and the cheapest one is the vegetable platter with 5 types. On this day, we had Chinese yam, eggplant, onion, shiitake mushroom, and shishito pepper. Unfortunately, there was no sauce or salt, just the sauce. The batter was thin, crispy and delicious. There are five types of selection nigiri: sea bream, tuna, salmon, whelk, and octopus. Everything is thawed or farmed, so 980 yen is a bit expensive. The toppings were quite small and the shari was large. The toppings were probably old, but they were dry overall, and the sushi rice was sticky with a lot of water, so it wasn't very tasty. And overall, all the staff members are unmotivated... Even after entering the store, although there are recommended items on the menu, there is no explanation about the recommended items. Even when ordering, there was no friendliness or smile... Also, there are times when I repeat words that other staff members have said in a way that makes me uncomfortable. I think even a regular Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) would provide better customer service and service, but I didn't feel like it was up to that standard. Although the interior of the store has a nice atmosphere, I would like to see more focus on customer service. Personally, I think it's a store I won't visit again. Thank you for the meal.
