新潟の美味しいお米が食べられるという朝食ビュッフェにいってみました。
新潟ならではのメニューとしては、のっぺ、栃尾あぶらげ、峰村醸造の越後味噌を使った味噌汁、そしてソウルフードとも言えるタレかつ、などなど、新潟らしいメニューが豊富です。
やはりメインは新潟のコシヒカリ食べ比べ。魚沼産、岩船産、佐渡産の3種類が用意されていました。
違いは分かりませんでしたが、美味しいことは分かりました。
ご当地メニューのタレかつも、朝から普通に美味。
洋食系だと、ロングセラーというホテル特製フレンチトースト。これは実にふわトロな食感で、たっぷりのメープルシロップをかけて食べたらとても美味しかったです。
その他、今回は食べませんでしたが、卵料理に関しては、専属のシェフがいて、好みで出来たてを提供してくれます。
また、ヨーグルトは新潟で有名なヤスダヨーグルトが提供されています。
後でホームページを見て気づいたのですが、新潟県北部の岩船地域で育てられた豚肉をじっくり熟成し、やわらかさと旨みを引き出したという「黄金豚のハムステーキ」を食べ忘れたのが悔やまれます。
いくつかのクラウンプラザで朝食を食べてきましたが、
こちらの朝食は地域色も出しつつ、その他メニューも豊富で味も良くて、総じて満足度は高いです。
ホームページだと朝食は1人2,800円となってましたが、チェックイン時に朝食を追加したら2,400円でした（IHGステータス等の影響か否かは不明）。
かなりお得感があります。
