新潟県新潟市｡｡｡｡｡｡白山神社の御朱印を頂いて、お土産が沢山並ぶという『ふるさと村』に立ち寄ってみた。
新潟のお酒､お米､柿の種､田中屋の笹団子､のどぐろ････まで並ぶ楽しい所｡
２階にあるレストランに行ってみた。
もちろん、へぎそばを頂くため｡
まず、へぎそば２人前､天ぷら付きのメニューがあったので、へぎそばだけ３人前にして頂いてお願いする。
もう一つ､これも新潟の郷土料理､栃尾の油揚げも頂く。
へぎそばって、ずっと食べてみたくて、やっと念願叶う。
蕎麦粉では無く、布海苔で打たれた蕎麦を､へぎと呼ばれる入れ物に乗せて提供されるため､へぎそばって呼ばれるそう｡
長野のへぎそばとは粉が違う。
一つ一つ丁寧に盛られた蕎麦は、新潟の海の波をイメージされているそう｡
言われて見ると、確かに波だ。
蕎麦は太めで、緑色､硬めに茹でられる。
一口で布海苔の香りと風味が感じられる。
これは、体験した事ない味｡
上に乗る焼き海苔もまた、いい脇役｡
天ぷらは、さておき、蕎麦を夢中で頂く。
３人前は、かなりの量｡
でも、ペロリと完食｡
栃尾の郷土料理の油揚げも､カリカリ、ジューシーで、かなりイケます。
とにかく、デッカイョ！
お腹いっぱい｡
