The final stop on our chain restaurant trip was Marugame Seimen. It's about a 5-minute drive from Niigata Station, has a large parking lot, and is easily accessible. The restaurant is spacious and you can relax and enjoy your meal. On this day, we had the beef sukiyaki kamatama. The beef sukiyaki is grilled after the order is placed, so you have to wait a little longer than for regular udon, but I thought it was worth the wait. It was a hearty meal, and even without Tempura, it was enough to satisfy you. It's great when you want to eat a lot of meat. I think the taste and service at chain restaurants vary widely, but I think the quality of recent chain restaurants has improved significantly compared to the past. I hope that chain restaurants will lead the restaurant industry by aiming for both value for money and taste, and Marugame Seimen is one restaurant I personally want to support.
