新潟市中央区古町通5番町のふるまちモール添いにある「Side by side Spice Stand」さん。
店名の印象はSだらけ。笑
冗談はともかく、以前から要マークしていたカレー専門店でようやく訪問！こちらは南インドカレーを提供する新潟市内でも数少ないお店。
なんでも南インドカレーの特徴としては、サラッとしたスパイシーな味わいが特長らしいく、スープ状であっさりとしているみたい。南インドカレーを代表する具材は野菜や豆類など。スパイスは「カレーリーフ」や「マスタードシード」、「ココナッツミルク」などの食材を使うのも特長らしい。
カレープレート1200円
本日のカレー6種類の中から3つ選べる。今回は店員さんのオススメを聞きながら、
1.スリランカチキン
（カツオ出汁の効いた辛くて濃厚なカレー）
2.野菜カレー
（見た目も味もあっさりで辛くない）
3.豆カレー
（見た目は赤いけど辛くないカレー）
上記3種でいってみた。
野菜カレー、豆カレーどれもあっさりだけどスパイシーで優しい味わい。ちびっ子もいけそう感あり。1番ビックリしたのはスリランカチキンカレーで、
まさかのカツオ出汁！
カレーとカツオのマリアージュ。めちゃくちゃ美味しいくて、ニヤニヤが止まらないカレー。食後には温かいチャイでお口直し。
初めて南インドカレーに大満足。場所的には少し隠れ家的な雰囲気もあり、また来たい。絶対に来たい。
