大島のくすりのアオキの道路を挟んで前にあるインド料理屋さんです。日本の古民家を改装して純和風っぽい建物ですが、中にはインドの民族音楽でしょうか、インド映画のにぎやかなものとは違った渋い曲がながれていました。
ランチは税込み1300円のセットで、カレーと食後のお茶を選ぶ方式。さらに追加料理もあります。
カレーは中辛のシュリンプカレーを選び、食後の飲み物はチャイをお願いしました。ワンプレートに小鉢に入ったカレーと、イモと豆が入ったグリーンカレーのような色合いのサブジ、サラダ、半ライスと半ナンがついてきます。ナンとライスの両方を食べられるのが、とてもうれしい。
シュリンプカレーはそれほど辛くなく、プルンと食感のいい海老が３つ入っていました。このカレー、うまっ。その隣の緑色がサブジ。グリーンカレーのように見えますが、バターの香りがして、甘みがあります。その中にピリッとした香辛料の辛さが加わっていて、とても美味しい。これ、大好き。
ナンもライスもいいし、食後のチャイもほのかに生姜の香りが加わっていて、すっきりした後味。このチャイもうまい。
ここ、かなりいい。
