A trip to Sushi restaurants in Nagaoka. This time, we went to "MURAKURI SUSHI" located a little far from Nagaoka station. When you enter the restaurant, there is a counter, a small tatami room in the back, and a tatami room in the back. There seemed to be a group of customers in the tatami room. I sat at the counter. The counter was made of white wood with a very clean look. I ordered the special top nigiri for 3,700 yen. The special nigiri consisted of snow crab, flatfish, kamatoro, amaebi, sea urchin, salmon roe, negitoro roll, and conger eel. It is a good choice for a special top grade neta. Now, what did the neta taste like? Kamatoro, negitoro maki, amaebi, and conger eel were GOOD. Flounder was average. The snow crab was a little bit too much as it still had some tendon threads. The sea urchin was disappointing because of the perfect taste of alum. I wish they would use better sea urchin. Also, a customer sitting at the counter came in halfway through the meal and smoked a cigarette. I guess it's okay that smoking is not allowed, but they can't smoke in the tatami room, so they come to the counter to smoke. But, you know... It's not the restaurant's fault. There are customers.
