「麺や」と言ってもラーメンじゃなく、日本そばをラーメン的に出すお店です。そのそばのコシと太さと存在感が、普通のそばと違って力強いので、まさにラーメンのような食べ応えがあります。
いただいたのは、塩叉焼つけ麺（税込み１２４０円）。高いのですが、それだけの価値はあります。特にチャーシュー。厚みがあって、燻製しているので、香りと噛み応えがあり、旨味がしっかりしています。量も多く、８枚が別皿に並んででてきます。これでお酒が呑める。
お蕎麦は季節によって小麦を変え、私が行った１０月以降は北海道十勝産の小麦を使っているそうです。太めでコシがあり、つるっとしたのど越しの良さもある。つけ汁はぐつぐつと煮立って出てきます。中に肉と細切りのメンマなどが入っています。熱々なので、最後まで冷たくならずにそばを食べられます。温かい麺がいい場合は注文時に「あつ盛りで」と頼むこともできます。
味変用の調味料も豊富においてあり、魚粉や柚津胡椒、山椒などまで幅広いので、自分好みの味を探す楽しさもあります。
最後はポットに入ったスープ割を入れてつゆを楽しみます。
変わり種の物珍しさだけじゃなく、なかなかいけました。
