Speaking of the perfect bar for after-party...49ers! Right in front of Nagaoka Station
When it comes to after-party, this is the place to go! Forty-Niners is a hot topic. Many people use it for their after-party. So, why do so many people choose Forty-Niners for their after-party? The s |
I wanted to finish off the night at a bar, so I searched for a bar and went on a patrol to the area I had my eye on. I found a western-style place that I liked, and when I looked inside, I noticed that the female staff were not wearing Yellow Hats, but formal cowboy hats. I thought that there were some places in Nagaoka that were trying to be more stylish, reminiscent of the pioneering days. It was interesting, so I decided to stop by here at the end of my bar-hopping. It was after 10:30 p.m., and the place was packed to the brim, so much so that I couldn't hear what they were saying. Maybe because it's open until 3 a.m., this is the last place young people in Nagaoka use. Seeing how crowded it was, I realized that it was a place where young people in Nagaoka use. There were a lot of people who were pretty drunk. But it's good that the coronavirus has calmed down and restaurants are becoming more lively - this is a good example of that. I had told the staff in advance that I wanted to sit at the counter instead of a table. It had a bar atmosphere, so I waited about 5 minutes and went inside. I was amazed by the large number of foreign beers and the many American food menus! What caught my eye were the cocktails with titles of Western and Japanese movies divided by era. The causal relationship between the titles and the cocktails, and what kind of alcohol is used in the cocktails. Although the explanation is incomplete due to the space on the menu, movie fans are sure to be very interested. I am interested in Western movies from the 1970s, so after some hesitation, I chose Taxi Driver. It was not a screwdriver or a local Iwate sake of the same name, but a cocktail using a slightly peculiar Western liquor. There are also Ghibli movies and "Grave of the Fireflies", so I wonder what it's like... And "If there is a movie title that is not on the menu, please let us know." What a lie! If you were here, it would be morning already - they would say the movie title in a mean way. Since it is created with the image of the movie, the person's personality comes out. So in a sense, the bartender's skill is not the only thing that is called for, but his artistry as well. It is as expected of the cocktail maker who sets the bar himself and overcomes it every day. "I'm going to use a very strong liquor, is that okay?" the manager said. Since it is right in front of me, I can see the process of making the drink. So I was shown the bottle and was told what kind of liquor they used, but I forgot. My sister, who was drinking Coke because she couldn't drink anymore, tried Taxi Driver and she said, "Woah!" It had a strong aroma, but I didn't mind. It was hard to imagine De Niro with a mohawk drinking it, but if you're interested, please give it a try. I was greeted by a man who seemed to be the manager in front of me. He was busy, but he started a conversation, and thanks to that, I was able to hear a lot of stories. The manager used to work at a bar in Tokyo, and the owner there is a movie lover. But he does things differently. The fact that he remembers the recipes for hundreds of cocktails is superhuman! It was our third bar, so it's a shame that we didn't try the food. I felt bad that the bill for the two of us was less than 2,000 yen.
