長岡駅から長岡高校に向かう通り沿いにぽつんとあるケーキ屋さんです。不思議な名前に釣られてやってきました。
長岡とろっとプリン（税込み２４０円）が手頃で人気のようですが、ショーケースの端っこに一つだけお姫様タルト（７７７円）がありました。テレビ番組で紹介されたと案内書きがありましたが、そんなものがなくても大きなイチゴと生クリームの組み合わせで硬式野球ボールよりも二回り大きなケーキを見れば買わずにいられません。
これが美味しかった。生クリームに負けない甘さのイチゴがこれでもかというほど入っています。真ん中上部には特に巨大なイチゴが鎮座。しかも秀逸なのは底のタルトです。しっとりしていて生クリームとイチゴの邪魔をしない。中央部にはチョコを入れているので、その苦みが甘さを引き立てます。カロリーさえ気にならなければ、また食べたいなぁ。
プリンは後のお楽しみにとってあります。
