栃尾冷やしラーメン提供店のひとつ。
今では珍しい地方の歓楽街ビルの一階に店はあり、ビル裏手の駐車場には今では滅多に見なくなったカラオケボックスもある。
この敷地全体が、昭和な雰囲気だ。
店内もさほど広くはないが、地方ならではの寂れた空気感が心地よい。
男性店員が忙しそうにしながらも柔らかな声音で接してくださる。
こちらの表記は“冷っこいラーメン”で、770円はかなり安い。
見た目がシンプルなのと、スープが少なめで麺がこんもり盛られてるのがユニーク。
氷がいくつか浮かべられているスタイルだが、麺もスープも氷温レベルに冷たい。
スープは鰹が主体だが、それだけでない多層的な味わいで冷やしながら旨味もしっかりとしていて余韻がとても良い。
プリプリとした中太麺の味わいしっかりしている。
冷やしというとどうしても味や旨味というのが感じにくくなるが、ここの一杯はその弱点を補い、しっかりと旨味を堪能させてくれる完成度の高さに舌を巻いた。
ここはその点でリピートしたいと思わせる佳店だ。
