バルなのに、カレーの名店
お店の玄関の周りが少し雑然としていて、何屋さんなのか判然としにくいのですが、フランス酒場と銘打つように、バルです。
外にメニューも出ているのですが、テイクアウト用の肉ものだけなので、店内でどんな料理がいただけるのかが分かりにくくここ数カ月様子見をしていました。
入ってびっくり、第三世界のワインはあるし、なんと言ってもカレーのメニューが豊富です。入ってみるものですね。テーブルの上に置いてあるメニューを見てほっとしました。
カレーの中でも「夢のハーフ＆ハーフ」（税込み８５０円）と名付けられているポークカレーとグリーンカレーの組み合わせを注文しました。
これが美味い。グリーンカレーは辛さにぴりっとした刺激を聞かせてあり、ポークカレーには酸味をきかせて大人の味に仕上げています。大きなお皿の真ん中に硬めのご飯をダムのように置き、左右に２つのカレーを流し込むダム方式。ご飯の壁を崩し切らないように食べるのが楽しい。
ついでにギリシャのドリンク・コーヒーフラッペも追加（＋１５０円）。クリーミーな泡がのっかていて、カレーを食べた後に苦みで口の中を中和します。
お店の至る所に短冊形式のメニューが張り出してあり、中にはくるまふキャラメーゼなんていう俄然興味をそそられるようなメニューもいくつかあって、夜もお邪魔してみたくなります。

「フランス酒場」なんだけど、エスニック風の料理もあるところがメリメロの面白さ。この日はランチでお邪魔し、メニューを見たらガパオライス（税込み８５０円）があったので、頼みました。カレー味のフォー（８５０円）もおいしそうだったなぁ。
ガパオの挽き肉の味付け、文句なし。ごろごろとした食感もいいし、量も十分。そのうえ、ご飯がおいしい。余分な水分がなく硬めに炊きあがっていて、ガパオのソースが染みこんでもべたつかず、最後まで美味しく食べられた。
本当はビールでも飲みたかったけれど、また今度にお預けです。
