長岡中央水産が運営する水産市場の敷地内にある、大きな食堂です。市場直結の地の利を生かし、新鮮で食べ応えのある食材と豊富なメニューがそろっています。
まず、入り口の券売機でメニューを選び、食券の半券をお店の方に渡して席へ。広いので余裕で座れます。
注文したのはエビフライ定食（９４０円）。太めのエビが４尾、キャベツの千切りとタマネギのスライスサラダの上にのってきました。タルタルソースもたっぷり。それと切り干し大根、もやしの小鉢つき。硬めのご飯は大盛りで、みそ汁はエビの頭から出汁をとっています。
エビは丸まっていて、たぶんそのままでは高く売れないので食堂の具材に使ったのではないでしょうか。形はともかく、身が締まっていてプリップリの食感、最高でした。
