海沿いから内陸部に向かいハンドルを切る。
(2021年8月8日)。
次の目的地は群馬県の沼田。
胃も落ち着いて来たようで、ちょっと小腹が減る。
峠道を走っていると、『ところてん』の手書き看板が目に入り、そのまま矢印通りに進むと、
『日本一うまいところてん』。
何て店名だ。
自らハードルを上げに上げている(笑)。
時間は14:10。
駐車場は一杯で、店内は7割程埋まっている。
入り口で先会計にてところてんをオーダー。
小さな滝がある池側の席に座る。
錦鯉が優雅に泳いでいて、何とも風情がある。
早速届いたところてんだが。
先ず、麺線が美しい。
繊維がしっかりしているのだろう、斜めにしても崩れない。
海苔も胡麻もなく、醤油と洋ガラシのみのデフォルト。
一本箸で食べてみると、海草の香りが鼻を抜ける。
卓上に味変の調味料が幾つかあったが、僕は一切使わずこの風味と喉越しを楽しんだ。
総じて。
日本一うまいかどうかは分かりませんが、個性のあるところてんでした。
良い場所に店を構えたなぁ、ってのが正直な感想です。
