湯沢高原ロープウェイ山頂駅を降りてすぐの場所にあるピッツエリア「リストランテ・ピッツェリア アルピナ」。美味しいピッツァとパスタがいただける最高のイタリアンだ。11時半ぐらいというランチタイム前に行ってみたら、ちょうど待ちの状態。ピークタイムは階段にズラッと行列ができる人気店でもある。
それほど待つこともなく、店の奥に通されてからオーダー。メニューはピッツァにパスタ、アルフォルノ、ステーキ、それにドルチェという感じの構成。色々食べたいものはたくさんあるが、まずはフランチャコルタのロゼで乾杯。前菜代わりに「アルピノサラダ（1,540円）」、「窯焼きソーセージ（1,900円）」、そして「ミストサイド（2,400円）」を。
続いて、ここに来たら必ずオーダーしてほしい「窯焼きチーズ（2,200円）」。5種類のチーズを窯焼きにしたものの横にピザ生地のパンが添えられており、このパンにチーズをマイていただくというスタイルだ。こんな組み合わせ、間違いないに決まっているじゃないか。
そんな前菜類が一段落したらピッツァの登場。オーダーしたのはきのこと生ベーコンを使った「ボスカイオーラ」、定番の「マルゲリータ（1,980円）」、外せない「ビスマルク（3,520円）」、そして「カルツォーネ（2,620円）」。マルゲリータは上にアルピノサラダの野菜を乗せてアレンジ。これが最高にうまい。ビスマルクは隠し味のトリュフバターが、その存在を隠しきれていないのが最高だ。チーズ好きならカルツォーネも外せない。
美味しすぎて、ついついワインが空いてしまう。気づいたら12時を過ぎていて行列。スキーのお客さんが多いけど、ピッツァだけ食べに行くのも十分価値があるお店。気になる方はぜひ。
