大分の歓楽街の中心地、都町。その中心にジャングル公園というちょっとさびしい感じの公園があります。そのちょうど北側の真向かいに位置する会席料亭。
日没とともに目を覚ます歓楽街は、早い時間帯はやや寂れた感じなので、大分随一のこのお店も、明るいときに見ると、外見はそれほどの高級感を感じません。
京聚楽風の外壁を通って店内に入ると、女中さんたちの歓迎の声が飛び交います。う～ん。いい感じ。滞りのない、流れるような案内で予約した部屋まで通されます。
ホストとゲストを一瞬で見分け、適切な対応をしてくれるのが心強く、安心して会食できました。
通された個室はやや狭かったものの、座椅子に脇息が用意されなかなかいい気分でした。
内装はご多分に漏れず、和風でまとめられ、落ち着いた雰囲気ですが、やや古い感じがします。
料理はふぐ懐石のコースにしました。お造りはちょっとぱさぱさした感じがしましたが、ふぐの白子の椀物がとてもおいしかったです。
総合的にみて、料理と店内の雰囲気は並ですが、接客などのサービスには光るものがあります。
