I went south on the Nippo Main Line from Hakata and had lunch at Nakatsu while changing trains. When I think of Nakatsu Station in the Kansai sense, I have a very strong image of a narrow island platform (Hankyu) or a train going north of Nishinakajima Minamigata and saying "If you think it's empty, go to Nakatsu!" (Subway). I had some authentic Nakatsu fried chicken at a restaurant near Nakatsu Station. The batter was crispy and the meat was juicy, ah... irresistible. This is a noodle shop, so the udon was also really delicious.
