初めて岡山に宿泊しどこで飲もうか悩んでたところに知人の紹介で華作を知り、行ってみました。
店の前に立ちふと「これはアウェー感満載の店では？」と少し縮み上がりながらも店に入りました。
店内はカウンターと座敷があってそんなに広くない感じ。
まずはカウンターに座って生ビールを頼み、飲みながら様子を伺う事に。
カウンターには寡黙な店主が丁寧に作ったいろんな煮物が並んでて食欲を誘います。
まずはイイダコの煮物やゴボウをつまみながらビール。
その後、さわらの西京焼きを一口食べた瞬間「美味い！でもこれはビールではない！」と気づき慌てて佐賀県の日本酒をオーダー。
基本どの食べ物も優しい味で美味しいです。
少しして気づいたのですがこの店、自分達以外は全部予約客で埋まってました。
ラッキーだったのか、無謀だったのか。
でも、また来たいと思います。
