I was lucky enough to secure a seat on a certain restaurant reservation website. I felt sorry for my wife, but I had no choice but to go alone and keep it a secret. lol When I arrived at the restaurant, even though it was before closing time, there were already two groups (three people) of six seats ahead of me. I thought we would all start at the same time, but they were already drinking and serving appetizers, which surprised me a little, whether it was Okayama style or En style. I ordered a drink immediately after sitting down, and while I waited for a while, I first enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant. I like the atmosphere of a proper restaurant, especially a sushi restaurant, so I was enjoying it, when the sake and the first dish of appetizers, Oyster soup, were served. As expected of a restaurant ranked high in Tabelog Okayama, all the appetizers were of high quality and delicious. When it came to nigiri, I felt that the quality was even higher. I was really surprised by the nigiri with the sliced flesh of the bigfin reef squid and the nigiri using such high quality tuna for a local restaurant. At Sanshin in Osaka, we had squid sushi, which was cut into small pieces on both sides, then attached to a stone-like plate, stretched, and served after a short time. If it weren't for that, the squid sushi here would have been the best I've ever had. Even with tuna, Tokyo restaurants, which are home to the Toyosu Market, have an overwhelming advantage, so I thought it would be quite expensive to serve something of this standard, but the fact that they served three dishes of tuna - lean, medium fatty, and finally tuna rolls - made me feel the chef's determination (in a good way). The competition for reservations on a certain restaurant website is really tough, but next time I'd like to come with my wife. Thank you for the meal!
