岡山駅から徒歩10分ほどのこじんまりした鮨屋さん。清潔感がある白木のカウンター8席程と個室のある正統派のお店。ネタケースには牡蠣の剥き身がキレイに並べられ、渡り蟹やタラの白子等旨そうなものが置かれていた。
お造り数種と玉子焼き、くもこの炙り、ワタリ等を頂いて、握りに突入。
先ずは鮃、中とろから。シャリは小ぶりでホロッと口の中で解れ、甘さも上品。軍艦のイクラはパンパンに膨れた大粒で、噛み応えに新鮮さを感じるもの。鮪の赤身も良い具合の熟成感。煮穴子、雲丹、鮑等を頂いて、山葵巻でフィニッシュ。何れも良いネタの旨い握りでした。
お酒も進んだので少し高くなったが、この質の高さでお任せの鮨としては適切な値段でしょう。「あっ！岡山なのにシャコ食べてないやん」と後から気づいたが、そろそろ旬は過ぎているので、まぁ良しとしよう。
