今回、訪問したのは岡山発祥のうどん屋さん「およべ」さんの表町店。店名は社長さんの姓「及部」から来ているそうです。逸品料理も充実しており、うどんや逸品料理をツマミにお酒の飲めるうどん屋としても人気を博しているようです。
場所は天満屋本店とアーケードの通りを挟んで向かいにあり、この辺りでは珍しく、地下に店があります。訪問したのは土曜日の12時過ぎでしたが、カウンター席が多いということもあり、すんなりと席に着くことができました。
人気メニューはハイカラうどん、田舎うどん、辛担々うどんがベストスリーと書かれていましたが、クミコミ、過去の経験からカレーうどん(税別800円)を注文しました。麺量は同じ値段で、少な目、１玊、1.5玊、２玉から選ぶことができます。
毎朝、和風出汁と具材を長時間、煮込んでいるだけあって僅かな人参を除いて、野菜は原形を留めない位ルーに溶け込んでいます。その中で、沢山の油揚げの存在とコクのある和風出汁がカレーライスとの違いを際立たせています。麺は中細麺、或いは細麺位の細さで(以前より細くなっている感じがしました)、コシもありルーとよく絡みます。
今日はスープは全部飲み干しましたが、誰の好みにも合うカレーうどんだと思いました。
