久しぶりに、児島善三郎が目利きだったことを物語る大原美術館を訪れてみた。
そのついでに、近くのこの店に行ってみた。
JR倉敷駅から歩いておよそ１０分くらいだろう。
店内は、右に蕎麦打ち部屋、続いて調理場、左は椅子席、奥が小上がりになっている。
蕎麦は一種類で、江戸切りと出ているので恐らく二八だろう。
鴨せいろを注文した。
蕎麦は水切りよく、エッジが立ち、麺線がそろっている。
切りむらや端切れはほとんど目立たない。
蕎麦の味と香りはあるが十分とは言えない。
富山県の南砺産のそば粉を使用しているとタテカンに出ていた。
薬味はネギをわさびだ。
つけ汁は鴨肉とねぎときのこと青菜で悪くない。
蕎麦湯は釜湯で風味は薄い。
ただし、開店直後なのでこんなものかもしれない。
蕎麦の風味はそれほどでもないが、南砺産ならばいい時はかなり美味しいだろう。
江戸切りと書かれているが、とてもきれいな蕎麦切りで感心した。
倉敷美観地区に隣接する観光地の蕎麦屋としてはいいかもしれない。
