うどん大国香川の対岸にある児島にはうどん文化が根付いている為うどん屋が多いです。
小嶋から直島に車で向かう途中。1本道に入ると大混雑のうどん屋があります。年内最後の営業だった為か12時半には品切れに。
店前に設置された名簿に名前を記載して入店を待ちます。テーブル、カウンターだけでなく３か所くらいにお座敷があるようで大家族で来ている人も多し。1～2人でカウンターでもOKだと比較的すぐは入れました。
地元の方が多い印象でしたがアウェイ感もなく居心地も良かったです。
お店の方の手際が良く食事の提供も早いです。
人気メニューは海老天の乗った【天ぷらうどん】肉と海老天の入った【肉天うどん】。
頼んだのは肉天うどん。
この海老天がすごくて提供時にパチパチパチと悲鳴をあげるんです！！！感動しました笑
お肉はかなり甘くすき焼きのような甘さ。お出汁も少し甘めの味わいがもっちり麺と良く合ってました。
ただ海老天は本当に熱いからパチパチを楽しんでから食べてくださいませ～！！
