[10 minutes walk from Kurashiki Station] A skewered fried food specialty restaurant.
Located a 10-minute walk from Kurashiki Station, we aim to use locally produced ingredients, source seafood from nearby waters, and mainly vegetables from Okayama, Kurashiki, and neighboring prefectur |
Dinner on a trip to Kurashiki. We made a reservation and visited this restaurant, which is close to [a:33002261, Onoda Bar], with four people. As the name suggests, it is a skewered food restaurant, but they also serve sashimi. When I hear that they serve skewered food and sashimi at the same time, I tend to think that it's a bit... but I never imagined that this was the case. Both were quite good. We started with draft beer, and the four of us each said what skewered food we wanted to eat, and those who agreed joined in, and we had 5-6 types of skewered food. For fish, we had live Kawahagi sashimi, milt with ponzu sauce, shrimp vinegar, red sea cucumber with ponzu sauce... I wonder how much we love Vinegared dish (^^). The Kawahagi had plenty of fresh liver. It was my favorite type, not watery and with a strong flavor. Fried Skewers was good, but as other reviewers have written, the fish was also delicious. By the way, the appetizer was raw yuba, but it seems that this is because this restaurant originated in Kyoto. No wonder everyone speaks in Kansai dialect. But perhaps it's because it's Kyoto that the atmosphere is somehow refreshing and not excessive. Even though there were a lot of customers, the operation was smooth and it felt like they were showing off the best parts of Kansai in terms of service, which was great. After the beer, I tried to get a glass of potato shochu, but someone advised me, "If you're going to drink a few glasses, a bottle would be cheaper." That's true. It's nice to receive calm advice like that when you're drinking. I thought it was a great place to casually eat and drink with friends or family.
