倉敷駅近くのアーケード商店街の中、一軒の串カツ屋さんを発見。ドリンク1杯290円という文字が見えたので気になって訪問。外観の雰囲気もそうだし、店内の活気・・・バイト感覚のスタッフがいた辺りからもチェーン店っぽい感じが出てましたが、さてこちらはチェーン店なのだろうか。
まず注文したのは、この土地ならではというか、この土地だから映えるであろう、瀬戸内レモンサワー（290円）。甘みたっぷりのレモンはまるでジュースのようで、とても飲みやすかった。
串カツは、ししゃも（100円）、げそ（100円）、牛はらみ（150円）を。ゲソはコリコリとした食感で、臭みもなくなかなか良い感じ。ただ、油浮きが多く、油が良くないかなぁと。ランチから営業しているお店とのことで、夕方の飲みの時間としては早い時間でも油の使い回し感が出てたのも。そして、ししゃもはふっくらとして、適度な苦味が味に締まりをもたせていました。そして牛はらみ。少し時間が経っていたので、油が中まで染みちゃってたり、衣が既にカラッとしなくなっていたり、やはりこの油が大敵ですね。それでもはらみは、肉厚でなかなか良いなって思いました。
最初にサービスですと言ってキャベツ盛りが出てきましたが、確かに値段は取られていませんでした。なので、料理の値段のみで分かりやすい。ソースは二度漬け禁止、甘辛です。
