Sanyo Japanese-style Ryokan and Catering Service, 1st floor. Chinese noodles available every day (as of October 2012) http://www.otatsu.net |
I went to "Otazu" in Kasaoka City, Okayama Prefecture. It is located about 200m north of Kasaoka Station on the JR Sanyo Main Line. It is a restaurant on the first floor of "Sanyo Ryokan", and on days when a chef from a traditional Japanese restaurant irregularly serves Ramen, it attracts fans from far away as well as locals. On this day, many people from Kansai, including myself, came to the restaurant. We lined up and finally got a seat. Ramen that came out that day was surprisingly a cloudy brown soup reminiscent of a rich pork bone soy sauce. The thickness of the animal-based broth was enough to hold the strong broth, and I couldn't help but smile while holding the spoon. In order to balance the power of the soup, the noodles are medium-thick rather than medium-thin. The soft and creamy pork slices explode with flavor. The deep brown bamboo shoots are flavorful and have an ideal texture. As expected, Otazu quality does not compromise on toppings. Thank you for the meal (^^)
