They are not serving lunch at the moment. This review was written in early March (please excuse me). Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) YSS is located near the Kumoji River. It is a restaurant on the second floor with a noticeable yellow wall. In mid-February, when I was walking with a colleague at lunchtime, I saw a "Lunch" banner, so I approached them, thinking, "Could they really be opening for lunch?" YSS sold Bento (boxed lunch) during the terrible COVID-19 era, but after that, they only opened for business in the evening, so I never thought they would be serving lunch. Also, they run a frozen Gyoza / Dumpling shop called "Gyozamaru" in the shopping district of Nagata, where Okinawa University is located, so among nobuta, I think of them as Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) with gyoza as their strong point. The lunch menu was posted on the wall on the first floor, and Gyoza / Dumpling Gyoza / Dumpling meal" was 800 yen, so I decided to visit soon. This was my first visit in early March. When I went up to the second floor, I found that it was a fairly spacious Izakaya (Japanese-style bar). There were many table seats, low tables, and two private rooms. It's important to have a private room, so make sure you remember that. There are two types of all-you-can-drink menus. The premium is 2,180 yen. With that, you can drink Premium Malt draft beer. Don't forget that. Well, for lunch, in addition to Gyoza / Dumpling set meal, there was the pork hitsumabushi set meal 1,000 yen, spicy pork chive and bean sprout stir fry 800 yen, fried Pork bowl set meal 850 yen, cartilage soki set meal 850 yen, Obihiro pork bowl 900 yen, and green curry 800 yen. What caught my eye was the pork hitsumabushi set meal. It was an Obihiro Pork bowl with condiments and soup stock. It sounds interesting (lol) I decided to order it someday, and on this day I chose the "Kibimaru Pork" Gyoza / Dumpling set meal. The first photo shows Gyoza / Dumpling. Here is a close-up of the gyoza. It was delicious. The way the fried pork set meal ordered by the customer next to me was presented was impressive, so that might be a good option.
