Healthy steamed dishes and original Creative Cuisine are popular!
Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) is located along Ryutan Street in Shuri and is marked by a yellow lantern. It is a homey restaurant with many local Shuri customers, including many with children. They are |
I went there at night during my trip to Okinawa. It's located on a quiet residential street. It seems like there are a lot of locals. There are table seats inside the restaurant, and at the back there is a semi-private room separated by a curtain. There is a TV in the semi-private room, so even if you are alone, you can watch TV. I wonder if this is normal in Okinawa, but at least I've never seen it in Tokyo, so it's rare. You order with a mobile phone. It may be a little inconvenient for those who are not used to it. You can't do this without a smartphone. In that case, should I call the staff? I was in a car so I couldn't drink alcohol. I wanted to eat Okinawan Cuisine, so I asked the staff before ordering. Rafute, coarsely ground minced Soupless Tantanmen chanpuru, etc. The rafute is very tender, the flavor is well-absorbed, and it is healthy and voluminous because it comes with vegetables. I think it's quite delicious even for Izakaya (Japanese-style bar). Somen chanpuru is light, but has a taste like Okinawa. Soupless Tantanmen are not Okinawan Cuisine, but I ordered it because they seem to be recommended. It was spicy and the texture of the vegetables was good, and the texture of the coarsely ground meat was also good. The taste was not too strong, but just right. The portion was quite large, so the cost performance was good. I couldn't finish it, so I left some, but they asked me if I wanted to take it home without me having to say anything, and I was happy that they gave it to me for takeaway. Is this normal in Okinawa? At least in Tokyo, you often get turned down, so it may not be a good comparison, but the fact that you can take it home is a big plus.
