リゾネックス名護に泊まると今だけの特典として、和食か洋食が選べる夕食が付いていました。丁度娘の誕生日ということでお祝いを兼ねて、ステーキコースという洋食を選択。追加でフロントでケーキを注文しました。海の目の前なのでロケーションは最高。まるで船に乗っているかのようです。案内はさすがホテルのレストラン、しっかりとしております。但しインテリアはビジネスホテル並み。家庭にあるような椅子でありました。飲み物を聞かれて誕生日お祝いということワンドリンクサービスとのこと。特に明記されていなかったのでホスピタリティーに溢れるサービスに嬉しさ倍。コースは牛ロース網焼きコースと明記された2625円のコースらしい。まずはスープがサーブされる。これは沖縄の飲食店共通でスープがどうもヌメっとしている様に思えるポタージュ。続いてサラダ。シンプルな和風ドレッシング。ステーキが到着しました。焼き方等を特に聞かれなかったので期待は薄かったですが、やはり柔らか加工の牛肉。歯応えが弱い。玉ねぎとニンニクのソースが強すぎて肉の風味なし。2000円追加して県産牛肉のステーキに替えておくべきだったかも知れないと後悔。ご飯のおかずになるけれど･･･。更にデザートは一口のケーキとオレンジ、スイカ、いちごなど果物の盛り合わせ。味はともかく、サービスとロケーションに満足が行きました。これとは別注のチョコレートケーキも外からの取り寄せのようでしたが美味しかったです。
こちらのホテルは今の時期ならばファイターズの外国人選手の宿舎になっているようで、今米国スカウトをしているウインタースに会ったときは野球が好きな子供の頃の気持ちが蘇りました（サインは貰いそびれたけど）。
