Kouri Island's "feast"
We will stay at Kouri Island tonight. This is my first time going to Kouri Island. Until now, Churaumi Aquarium was the northernmost part of the main island. You will arrive at the island by taking Route 58 and passing through Yagaji Island and crossing the Kouri Ohashi Bridge. It is a small island with a radius of 1km and a circumference of 8km. We will be staying at One Suit THE GRAND, a small luxury hotel located right on the top of the island and in a great location with the East China Sea spreading out in front of us. It was difficult to find the hotel because it didn't show up on my car's navigation system. All guest rooms are arranged to overlook the East China Sea, and the view will soothe your soul. Dinner was at the hotel's creative Japanese-style meal Restaurants ``La Bombance'' in Nishiazabu. I decided to have it at the chef's counter. We were the only ones at the chef's counter that day. Toast with champagne Nicolas Fiat. Today's menu is placed on the table, and the contents are a riddle. It's a very interesting idea, and it's fun to eat while thinking about what's next. The chef cooks the food right in front of you, so the live experience adds to the excitement of your meal. Yushi tofu, steamed Okinawa Yamato sweet potato, tiger prawns with Tosa vinegar, and a bowl of rice followed by Sushi. About 3 pieces of squid and medium fatty tuna come out. Next was Agu pork chashu, sea grape somen noodles, and the main dish was Motobu beef. The dish is topped with truffles and has a gorgeous presentation, making it look like a French cuisine dish. Motobu beef is raised in a healthy environment and without stress, so the fat is sweet and the meat is not sticky and has a good elasticity when chewing, making it very delicious. Finish off with rice cooked with bamboo shoots. After dessert, we enjoyed dinner time with the chef while enjoying a rambling conversation about Kouri Island and other topics. There are other courses on the menu with different contents, so it seems like you won't have to worry about eating even if you stay multiple nights, so I think I'll try staying multiple nights next time. Recommended. It was a feast.

LaBOMBANCE, which has received a Michelin star for 10 consecutive years, opens in Okinawa
Restaurants with an ocean view overlooking the East China Sea. You can also enjoy creative Japanese-style meal made with plenty of local ingredients, paired with rare sake and vintage wine. |
A holiday morning with a relaxed feeling. We will have breakfast at the same La Bonvance as last night. I had a choice between Japanese-style meal and Western Cuisine, and I chose Western Cuisine. Unlike the chef's counter last night, this seat has a nice view overlooking the East China Sea. You can enjoy freshly squeezed juice from the orange juice machine. The dishes are as follows: Minestrone Mousse salad Granola yogurt Scrambled eggs Fresh fruit Bread Homemade red sweet potato butter, mango jam, olive oil The mousse salad in particular was impressive as it was a beautiful salad that looked great on Instagram. At the end, French cuisine comes out, but I was so full by now that I wasn't sure if I would be able to eat it, but it was a cute little piece French cuisine that I enjoyed. Although the weather was not good, it was a pleasant breakfast. It was a feast.
