When I came to Ishigaki Island, there wasn't much to do and the shops were limited, but I was grateful that they were open even on January 3rd. I ordered lunch of Ishigaki beef Steak (about 6000 yen) and Yaima beef Steak (about 4000 yen). Ishigaki beef is a Japanese beef Steak that is fatty and tender. The Yaima beef has less fat and is a little tough, but it has a good flavor and is quite satisfying. If anything, I think I prefer beef, but Ishigaki beef was a little hard on my stomach. The store had a nice atmosphere with the bougainvillea in bloom, but overall I think the prices are a little high. The store clerk's response is polite and I have no complaints. However, what struck me was that the air outside smelled like goats.
