石垣島に旅行で訪れ、ランチタイムに伺いました。当日、お店には私一人でしたが、シェフが気さくな方で話が弾み楽しく食事が出来ました。
ランチは、お野菜・お魚2品・お肉1品がワンプレートで提供され、ご飯、デザート、コーヒーが付いて¥1600でした。
シェフは以前ホテルで総料理長をされていたとか。食べている時その話をすっかり忘れ贔屓目無しで味わっていましたが、一品一品の味がそれぞれ楽しく、また、他を邪魔をすることなく頂けました。メイン料理もさることながら、付け合わせの揚げ物の軽さには驚きました。当たり前ですがプロは違いますね。
デザートには自家製のドライフルーツを使ったパウンドケーキと自家製の黒糖入バニラアイス。ケーキが特に美味しく、買って帰りたかったです。(残念ながら販売はしていないそうです)
今回はランチタイムでしたのでメニューは決まっていましたが、ディナータイムは予算を伝えれば自由に作ってもらえるそうです。次回はそちらで色々食べれたらなと思います。今から楽しみです。
また、お料理以外にも、シェフとの会話が楽しかったです。お若いながらも三児のお父様。私と年齢が近いのに背負っているものの重さのためか、深みが違うように思えました。数年経てば私もあの様になれるのか甚だ疑問ですが、頑張ろうという勇気をもらえました。
せっかく旅行に来たんだから島の物を食べた方がいいかなと思っていましたが、伺ってよかったです。お店が近くに無いのが本当に残念です。
