When I saw it on Daruma's menu, I felt like eating Ramen. Come to think of it, a Taishoken type store opened in the summer, so I headed towards Euglena Mall for the first time in a while. For some reason, the city is brighter and dazzling compared to the Shinkawa area where I'm currently staying... I came to Ishigakijima Taishoken, which just opened in July of this year, and the interior is bright, shiny, and very clean. There were zero customers when I visited before 9pm. The customer service is polite and pleasant. I ordered ramen from the ticket vending machine: ``Special Chinese food @ 1,200 yen'' and ``Orion medium bottle @ 650 yen.'' The price of Ramen would be reasonable in Tokyo, but I think it's a bit expensive on Ishigaki Island. While drinking beer with the chamen provided by the restaurant, Ramen was served as a bowl of rice. The soup is a classic dashi soup with a hint of soy sauce and a unique sourness, reminiscent of Higashiikebukuro Taishoken. However, overall the flavor and soup were weak... I wish it was hotter at least... The noodles are homemade medium-thick noodles. However, I couldn't really feel the flavor of wheat, giving it a vague impression. The texture is smooth, but why? The char siu and menma were delicious. Hmm, please excuse me. I think it was just a coincidence, but unfortunately it didn't suit my tastes this time.
