波照間島はそれほど大きな島ではありませんが、
徒歩や自転車だと少し時間がかかるので、
バイクを借りて回ることにしました。
まずはニシ浜に寄って波照間ブルーを堪能した後
日本最南端の碑などを回って集落に到着しました。
どこかで食事しようと探していて
偶然こちらのお店を見つけました。
普通の住宅の2階が店舗になっていて、
ベランダが食事スペースになっていました。
いただいたのは、
八重山そばです。
・スープ
沖縄らしいスープは安定していて
麺とよくあって美味しかったです。
・麺
固めの中太麺は八重山らしく美味しいです。
・具材
ソーキは柔らかくて臭みもなく美味しかったです。
また蒲鉾がのっているのも八重山らしくていいですね。
・サービス品
サービスでパイナップルと黒砂糖をいただきました。
どちらも自然な味で美味しかったです。
40年前に初めて竹富島に行った時のような雰囲気に
とても満足できました。
