Let's go drinking in Shinchi for the first time in a while. Let's go to Toridori, which is on the Shinchi Hondori street near Yotsubashi. The restaurant was in the basement. The entrance is very Shinchi-like. There is a counter and four private rooms. I went into the private room with my companion (full vaccine). The partition is glass and there is a sunken kotatsu. I ordered the 2,500 yen chicken course with five skewers of Yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) and a chicken special. I had a lemon sour, and my companion had a tomato sour toast. The appetizer was a pickled ginger salad. Pickled ginger was on slices of green pepper, onion, radish, etc. It was a cold potage of black edamame. It was like vichyssoise. Chicken breast, wasabi and plum. It was salted with zuri. There were cuts in the zuri. It was salted with chicken breast. It was grilled Kaga lotus root with sea urchin and soy sauce. It was crispy lotus root. It was salted with peach and green onion. This is the meatball sauce. The chicken is white soup. This is the black vinegar fried chicken. It is covered with black vinegar sauce and topped with plenty of green onions. The aroma of black vinegar rises up. I would have preferred the fried chicken as it is. For the final meal, I Oyako-don (Chicken and egg bowl) with specially selected eggs, and my friend had the charcoal-scented Tori Nanban Tsukesoba. It has a very orange-colored egg yolk on top. They must be specially selected eggs. It's soft and juicy, almost like rice porridge. It's topped with charcoal-grilled yakitori. It has a very good elasticity. This is much better than the chicken I had at the yakitori restaurant. My friend's Tori Tsukemen (Dipping Nudle) also has the same charcoal-grilled yakitori. I had a bite of soba. Well, it's soba from a yakitori restaurant in Kansai. It cost about 6,600 yen for two people. If it wasn't enough, I thought about going to Marugame Seimen on the way home, but I was pretty full so I just got on the train.
