大阪駅桜橋口と中央口の間の通路にあるうどん屋さん。「うどん居酒屋」を謳う。
名前こそ「しおつる」ですが、あのコロッケそばのルーツともいわれる「潮屋」さんの系列です。特徴は太いどっしりとしたうどん。
入店すると目の前に注文口。きちんと人間がやってるのは本家「潮屋」と同じ。注文するとすぐに調理場内にお声掛け。
ここは少し時間がかかりますので、番号札をもらい、まず、席を確保。今は朝なのでセルフ。
やがて注文口近くで受け取りです。天かすは大きな壺に入ってて、自由に入れられます。
「半キツネうどん」340円。
見るからに太いうどん。なる程「潮屋」です。
出汁は味濃いめで香り高い。少し醤油がたちます。
うどんはどっしりとしたまさに「潮屋のうどん」。ただし、讃岐とは違ってコシは控えめ。ただ、ここは大阪なので讃岐基準で語るのはおかしい。大阪としてはとにかく太めでコシもしっかりしてる特徴あるもの。確かに少しボソッとしているが、これも潮屋の「味」。美味いうどんだと思います。
うん、満足。特徴に乏しい立ち食い店が多い中、個性あって素晴らしい。ただ、天ぷらものの種類が少ないのが少し残念。でも、エキナカであの「潮屋」が味わえるのはありがたいことです。
