僅かとは言わないが、休日のランチでスプマンテだかをフルボトルで一本取って、一人、1万円程で此処まで楽しめたイタリアンが地元の大阪で既に16年程やっていることに、今迄、気付かずにいたのは盲点だった。其れはそれなりに長い海外駐在があったとは雖も。
祝日を利用して地元に戻り、家人と出向いた。大阪は水都であり、東京もそうだが元の地は埋め立てたり暗渠にして、外は埋め立てて土地を確保した繰り返しの歴史だが、大阪も詳しくは知らぬが同じだろう。中心の土佐堀川の脇に佇む、大正年間に建てられたビルにあるのがこの店。海外に直近で居たのは6年半程、その前は、東京に数年だが、聞いたこの店の歴史が16年前からだと大阪勤務時代にも重なっていた筈だが、不明であった。
帰郷というには大袈裟だが、何か良さそうな店はと探していて見つけたのだが、果たして、とても良い店であった。古臭い、それは当然にしてそうなのだが、二人乗ると、何だか息苦しい様な小さなエレベーターで二階に上がると、粗、完全な個室で、家人と上着を吊るして着席。窓の外は土佐堀川。無論、泳げる様な綺麗な川でないのは、東京で言うと墨田川と同じ。光の加減ではどちらに水が流れているのかよく判らない濃緑色の澱んだ水があるだけだが、ゴミとしてのペットボトルが水面に浮遊しているのを認め、暫くすると相当に南西に下っているのを確認すると、やはり、その様に流れているのである。敬愛する梶井基次郎はこの界隈の生まれ。
コースＢという5,000円弱のものを頼んでおいた。流れとして、

イカ墨スパゲティ（鳥取 赤イカと聖護院かぶらのラグーソース）、鳥取 紅スワイ蟹とオレンジ白菜と淡路島オーガニック玄米のクリームリゾット ※ 550円プラス）を選ぶ。
メインは、3種のうち「イタリア ミルクフェッド サーロイン 鳴門金時とモッツァレラアフミカータのコトレッタ」を選び、その後は、ドルチェと自家製パンとコーヒーである。
完全な独立空間で、こうしたグランメゾン、イタリアンでは上質なリストランテと言えば良かろうかを味わえるとは、望外な体験だった。窓からの景色、カメリエーレの慇懃無礼ではないかと言って芝居掛かってない純朴な給仕。凡そに於いて申し分ない。敢えて言わば、メインは時間が経つと、どうしてもチーズが硬くなることを避けられず、そうすると全体に影響を及ぼすことは避けられないことにある。そこが少し残念である。
でも、料理も、給仕も素晴らしかった。予約の際にトラブルと言うには小さな差し替えが少しあったが、片が付いた後、後でも其れを充分に補う様なホスピタリティもあり、何か、それがどうのではないが、又、地元に寄った際に行きたいなと思った。訪れるに近い人は、窓際から絶えず流れる川面を見ながら、食事をゆるりとする。そうした利用は、予約は必要だがそうして損はまるでない、良い店だと確信する。
