今回はモネと雪舟と言う，なんの脈絡もない組み合わせではありますが、絵を鑑賞する為に大阪〜京都へ一泊二日の旅行でやって来ました。勿論、美味しいものを探すことは忘れていません。
最初の訪問地は中之島美術館です。こちらは新しいのでしょうか、凄く近代的で綺麗な建物ですね。丁度お昼前に着くと言うことで、予め予約して1Fのカフェ、ミュゼカラトでアフタヌーンティーを頂く事にしました。お昼を此処でと考える人はかなり多く、大勢の方が待っている状況でした。我々は、予約の時間より早く着いたのでその旨をスタッフの方にお伝えして、席の準備が整ったら声をかけてくれる様お願いをしておいたのですが、本来の予約時間近くになっても声がかからない。既にランチ待ちのお客さんも殆ど居なくなったのに…と思い再度確認したら既にテーブルの準備は出来ており、どうやら声掛けを忘れられていた事がわかりました。期待していたのにちょっと残念です…(⸝⸝o̴̶̷᷄ ·̭ o̴̶̷̥᷅⸝⸝)。
気を取り直して、アフタヌーンティーを楽しみましょう。こちらのアフタヌーンティーは3つのお皿で構成されているようです。一つ目はお食事系のお皿。クロワッサンサンドやオープンサンドといった軽めのスナック。もちろんサンドも美味しかったのですが、さりげなく頂いたアールグレイがむちゃくちゃ美味い事にビックリ！すっきりして爽やかな味わい。口に含んで飲み込むまでの間に一片の曇りすらない、そんな感じがしました。２つ目のお皿は甘めのスナック系、パイやスコーン、フィナンシェ、リーフパイ、シュークリームといった、定番の紅茶のお供が続きます。紅茶は二杯目の紅茶はアッサムで。ミルクを入れて優しい感じでいただきました。小粒ながら本格的な味わいのケーキにとてもよく合っています。個人的には、やはりスコーンとクロテッドクリームの組み合わせで紅茶をいただくのが好きです。美味しい！３つ目のお皿は、どちらかと言うとデザートプレート。不思議です。他のお皿と似た様なモノを食べているのに、お口直し感覚を醸し出す一皿となっているようです。また一緒に頼んだ水出しティーがまたサイコー！この上なくスッキリした紅茶(名前、忘れてしまった！)、食事の〆として申し分有りません。全体を通して、食事の組み立てといい、味、量など、無理なく楽しむ事ができました。丁度天気も良く、自然光を多く取り入れたお店のオープンな感じが相まって、とてもリラックス出来た気がします。ありがとうございました。またお邪魔させて下さい。
