最初にこの店を見かけたのは、江戸堀の現場で仕事を終えてぶらぶらしているときだった。
あれ、こんなとこに酒場とかあったっけ、なんか大衆酒場っぽいから気になるな、と思った。
新規出店だか改装リニュアルだかわかんないけど、そのときはまだ稼働してなくて近日オープンかなって様子だった。
しばらくして再び通りすがってみたら、営業してたよ「大衆酒場おかにわ」。
うん、なるほど大衆酒場っぽい。
キリンビールの看板が出ているのが良いね。
まずビール、当然のようにキリンラガー瓶があって嬉しい。
灰皿もある、良し。
と、まぁ、ここまでは良かったが。
お通しが出た。
いや、お通しが出ることは、俺はそこまで嫌ではないんだ。
問題は、それがどういうものかといくことだ。
熱、だった。
お通しは“熱”だったのだ。
七輪だ。
エイヒレとゲソを、七輪で自分で炙って楽しめる、というものだった。
おっ、こりゃ乙だね、気が利いてるね、こりゃ酒が進んじゃって堪らないね、と。
冬だったなら、そうやって喜んだだろう。
でもな、立ち寄ったのは7月の中旬だよ。
夏だよ。
夏真っ盛り、真夏とまではいかなくても、夏だよ。
暑いんじゃ。
早々に撤収した。
