中崎の商店街にあるお店。そんなに派手なファサードではありません。入り口のアルコールとパーティションは設置済み。カウンターが12席ほど。ランチ営業オープン同時に入って後客3組。西洋料理と銘打ってらっしゃいますがフレンチがベースにあり、ワインの種類も豊富です。
ランチは1種類のみですがと事前に告げられましたがもとより承知のこと。ただ苦手な食材であった場合、在庫や繁忙によっては融通を利かせてもらえるかも。サラダと鱧、きのこのパスタがこの日のメニュー。珈琲かデザートが選べて1200円。
カウンターからは調理過程が見えます。それを見ながら待つこと5分。サラダが到着。レタス、トマト、鮪のカルパッチョ、枝豆、きゅうり、温玉等々が具材。ドレッシングはフレンチなれど醤油の風味も感じる力強い味。キュウリも切っただけではなく、麹か何かで漬け込んで仕事したもの。このサラダだけでワイングラス3杯はいってしまいそうなくらいの逸品。必然的にパスタの期待も高まります。サラダ完食後数分でパスタ到着。鱧、しめじ、水菜。オイルソースと和風の間くらいに分類されるんでしょうか。すだちが添えられています。期待通りの味と茹で加減。生の麺でしょうか芯は感じません。通の間ではどうか知りませんが、硬すぎず緩すぎずまさに完璧な茹で加減です。鱧の骨切りはされていますし、すだちの風味もすばらしい。しめじと水菜も良い仕事をしています。
何回も通るのでお店の存在は知っていました。失礼ながらありがちなそこそこのお店みたいな印象を抱いていました。そんな印象が一掃される仕事と味です。もっと早く行かなかったことを後悔しているお店といっても過言ではありません。酒の提供が再開されればすぐに伺いたいと思います。
