I happened to go to the place where I used to live for work. It must have been about 30 years ago already. As I was strolling through the nostalgic streets, reminiscing about my memories, this happened. When I was an elementary school student at the time, my family and I used to come to eat at Coffee shops. Even after 30 years, it is still there. Even the donkey figurine in front of the store is the same as it was 30 years ago. I was so impressed that I couldn't help but go inside the store. There was no one inside, as I thought it was before business hours, so when I timidly called out to the back, a kind-looking wife came out. Oh, unfortunately, I don't remember anything about this person. I ordered mentaiko spaghetti for 900 yen. All lunches come with salad, bread, soup, and coffee. The bread is all-you-can-eat, and you have to pick it up yourself. On this day, there were six types: edamame cheese, soy milk, mini croissants, mentaiko bread, rye, and walnuts. I tried the edamame cheese and walnuts and it was surprisingly delicious. The edamame cheese has a perfect amount of salt that you'll want to take home with you. Salad and consommé soup are very ordinary. As I was enjoying the bread, the pasta arrived! Even the visuals are the same as before, it's making me cry. At first glance, the pasta doesn't seem to have any flavor at all, with a heaping amount of seasoned seaweed. When I tried eating it, I noticed the flavor of butter and a slight hint of mentaiko. That's right, this is it. For a long time, I only ate mentaiko spaghetti here. It's not something that's insanely delicious or anything like that, it's something that quietly but powerfully moves your emotions. Memories of food have a feeling that surpasses the taste. However, there were so few customers that I couldn't even say that it was trendy, and I was worried that I had managed to survive for 30 years in such a prime location and this size (excuse me), but... As I was about to leave, a number of people who seemed to be regulars started coming in, and I was moved again as I thought that these people would continue to support me. Yes, that's a story.
