大阪メトロ堺筋線堺筋本町駅14番出口直結、御堂筋ビル地階レストラン街のお店。
昭和45年創業の老舗中華料理店。
高度成長期の余韻を今に伝える何とも風格のある佇まい。
広い店内にはテーブル席がずらりと並ぶ。
お店のスタッフもお客も平均年齢は高め。
看板メニューは「天津焼き飯あんかけ」、通称「テンヤキ」。
誕生の切っ掛けは、「天津飯」と「焼飯」の注文が同時に入った際に、先に出来上がった焼飯の上に間違って天津飯の玉子をのせてしまい、作り直そうとしたところ「そのまま食べたい」とお客が食べ、これが予想外に好評でクチコミで広がったんだとか。
さて登場した「テンヤキ」、こんもりと盛られた玉子の上から褐色の餡がなみなみ。
玉子焼きは分厚く、甘口の餡と相俟ってヘビーな印象。
具だくさんの焼飯も何気に旨い。
あんかけ無しの方が焼飯本来の味わいが楽しめそう。
